앨범 [Wednesday Morning 3 A.M] 수록곡..
명곡 'The Sound Of Silence'이 들어있는 이 앨범은 상업적으로 실패하며
그룹이 해체되는 결과를 맞게된다.
하지만 1965년 재녹음된 'The Sound Of Silence'가 빌보드 싱글 차트 2주동안 1위에 오르며
인기를 끌자 사이먼과 가펑클은 재결합을 하게된다.
'The Sound Of Silence'는 미국을 비롯해서 전세계 차트를 석권하며 큰 히트를 하였다.
국내에서도 많은 사랑을 받고 있는 곡으로 한국인이 가장 좋아하는 팝송중 한곡으로 사랑을 받고 있다.
